Ladell Cruise 2018: Beach Party in Tropical Paradise

For our stop in St. Kitts, Seabourn planned a barbeque on a private beach. Carambola Beach is a beautiful golden sand beach situated on a picturesque bay of turquoise water. The weather was hot and sunny, but a cooling Caribbean breeze aided by lounge chairs, beach umbrellas and icy rum punches made us very comfortable. We spent the morning lounging on the beach listening to a steel drum band. All us passengers were greatly anticipating Seabourn's signature "Caviar in the Surf" event. Right on time, a Zodiac comes streaking into the bay with an alarm sounding to alert us to get up from our chaise lounges and wade into the surf for champagne and caviar. Like a school of fish, we all swarmed en masse towards the caviar. The chefs and crew served us chilled champagne and fancy caviar from floating surfboards in the water. The beach party really ramped up then. Soon after, an amazing barbeque lunch was served which included lobster, steak, ribs, etc. along with an open bar. The rest of the day was spent on this idyllic beach paradise. This over the top event is always a highlight of our trips.
